Tulips can remain attractive for up to 12 days, depending on their freshness, their environment, and the addition of nutrients for cut flowers. You can find information and many tips and interesting bits of information about almost all kinds of flowers at (Flower Council website).

  • Trim the tulip stems at an angle.
  • Use clean tap water and add nutrients for cut flowers (Chrysal, or another brand, which is usually provided by the florist).
  • Place the vase of tulips in the coolest possible location. Warmth and full sun will cause tulips to wilt faster.
  • Tulips require a lot of water, so top up the vase frequently.
